FAQs for homeowners considering a film shoot:
-
What does it pay?
Every shoot is different. We are currently TBD based on the number of spots we are able to use your home for/ length of time we would need your home. This particular shoot has a lot of moving parts but it’s safe to say $100/ hour for 4-8 hours so $400-800 dollars would be a good estimate.

I’m interested, what’s next?: I need to see and photograph your house, the sooner the better. We’d set up a scout appointment and I would snap pics and be out the door in 30 minutes. From there, we wait a few days to see if your home is in the running. I do not make the call on which locations are selected, I simply find places that can be considered. I would need to hear from you in the next 2-4 days to submit photos of your home for consideration.

I’m hesitant, what does this involve?: It involves opening your home up to professionals in video production. We have lights, cameras and gear coming in as well as lighting and camera technicians, hair and makeup, food stylists, talent and client (up to 35 people!) As such, we protect your home and personal items with enough bubble-wrap and cardboard to make a construction crew blush. Detailed advance photos help us make sure every doormat and family photo is returned to the place in which it was found. We clean up after ourselves and I pride myself on leaving homes in better shape then when we found them. This is not for the faint of heart, as we often have to move some furniture and art to suit the needs of the creative directors, or place lights. If you like to entertain, have guests and are generally an easy going household, this might be for you!

How do I know this is real?: I’m happy to provide professional references from productions as well as homeowners with whom I’ve worked with. You can also look me up on LinkedIn. What does it pay?
It depends! Every shoot is different in scope, scale and impact. Some crews are less than 10 people, while a tv show might have 100+ people. A

YES.
We do not have a standard rate because every shoot is different.
A film crew of 10 is different from a crew or 60 or 100, and the scope of every project varies. We consider the hours, if our work impacts your business/home directly or if it is a vacant location... let's talk and see what is feasible!
